The Engineer oversees maintenance and repair for all facility-related equipment, buildings and grounds at one of their facilities and the installation of all equipment that may be required. This analytical position includes troubleshooting for computer, telecommunication equipment, systems and networks. Directly supervise facility maintenance mechanics and network technician, ensuring a motivated, skilled workforce. Assess skills and recommend additional training to ensure department personnel are technically competent. Must be responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safety and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and standards including, but not limited to lockout, haz-com, machine guarding and waste disposal. Will seek bids on construction, alteration or installation work and recommend contractors/vendors based on cost, workmanship and completion dates. Must be deadline driven and an excellent communicator.
Requirements:
Eight to ten years of industrial facility maintenance/IT experience in a responsible managerial position is ideal. A degree in a related Engineering discipline is required.
