McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. (MEI) is a leading waste management company, located in Apollo, PA. Since 1947, MEI has provided transportation, treatment, disposal and on site environmental services for a wide variety of clients.
MEI is seeking energetic, talented individuals for the position of vehicle and equipment maintenance mechanic. The key responsibilities and duties include:
- Peforms preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of class 1-7 vehicles, trailers, heavy equipment (forklifts, excavators) and diesel powered pumps
- Preventive maintenance includes lubrication, brake and clutch adjustments and repairs, engine and components, tune-ups, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, state inspections (excludes engine overhaul)
- Performs compliance, safety and housekeeping inspections utilizing regulatory guidelines
- Works a rotating Monday-Friday 6:00AM - 11:00PM work schedule
- Responds to emergency response opportunities
Requirements:
- Post high school education such as trade school or technical school training in diesel engine vehicle maintenance is required
- Five (5) or more years of diesel engine vehicle maintenance experience required
- Class 7 inspection license required
- Class A with tanker and hazmat endorsement required
- Mack truck and small engine repair experience is helpful
- Thorough knowledge of related mechanical equipment including air powered tools, air and hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, oxygen and acetylene torches, vacuum pumps, compressors, hand tools and varios electronic devices is required
