Coordinate department certification projects and personnel to maintain the schedule provided by the Manager of Engineering and leading the process to obtain and retain FAA certification for company products. REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES AND REQUIRED PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: ve as liaison between the Company, DER(`9s, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to maintain compliance with applicable regulations and policy for airworthiness and type certification. rdinate all certification activities with all branches of the FAA. (ACO, MCO, MIDO, etc(a6.) erate reports to support certification activities such as Project Specific Certification Plans, Test Reports, etc. mit all type design data, analysis, plans and reports to the FAA. w compliance with the applicable FAR regulations per the agreed upon PSCP for each project. erate and maintain a master certification schedule for each project. edule and lead all Certification Board Meetings. k to obtain FAA approval as required and correspond with FAA to keep company management aware of status of projects waiting FAA approval. k closely with the Quality to obtain successful completion of FAA Certification and audits. age the conformity process with includes the determination of items that require conformity, writing and issuing the request for conformity, tracking the conformity progress for all projects. ise company personnel of procedures and requirements of FAA by conferring with other members of the aviation industry and maintaining familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) and foreign certification requirements. 4-year college degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering. In depth knowledge of FAA Parts 21, 23, 27 & 29 Airworthiness Standards. 3+ years experience with FAA certification procedures and the STC process. Desire a current DER delegation or someone with potential to become a DER with the company(`9s assistance. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of other applications such as Primavera and DOORS is also helpful. Ability to manage multiple projects and people, good interpersonal skills and understanding of customer requirements. Superior organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date certification records. Excellent communication skills including technical report writing, development and delivery of presentations, Ability to effectively listen and communicate with customers, vendors, Engineering team members, and members of federal regulation agencies.
