Cash Posting Clerk

The Posting Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to Cash Posting Management staff by delivering department mail, sorting refund checks, processing live checks from Biz Core, logging missing ERA files, mailing W-9 forms to insurance companies, completing Medicaid adjustments, copying and faxing and other duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities:


* Sort refund checks & distribute the ones that need to be reviewed to the refund specialists.
* Distribute departmental mail to employees, supervisors and manager
* Distribute the incoming fax & print jobs to the department staff.
* Process the collection agency checks & verify the amounts on the spreadsheet.
* Process live checks rejected from Biz Core and return to be deposited & return to payer.
* Mail W-9 forms to insurance companies when necessary
* Identify & print the remits for the refund checks & verify all information before checks are sent to insurance companies
* Complete Medicaid adjustment forms for all payers that require them.
* Print & mail the remits for other billing companies’ payments.
* Log the missing EPR files on the Intranet.
* Identify the patients for closed lock box clients & prepare them for deposit.
* Prepare reports for offsite storage.
* Set up and maintain all the files for the department.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours:7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday

Starting rate: $10.00 per hour
Requirements


Job Requirements:


* Proof of High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
* Ability to work independently.
* Excellent verbal communication/interpersonal skills.
* Detail oriented person.
* Previous work experience in an office environment required.
* Some computer skills required.
* Recent graduates from a Medical Billing or Medical Office Administration program must have at least a 3.5 GPA and an attendance record of 95% or better.
