Position Summary / Key Job Responsibilities: Reporting to the Global Director Supply Chain, this position will have direct interaction with all RTI Business entities as it pertains to defining and implementing the structure for the overall RTI Planning engine. This includes definition of parameters used in the SAP operating system, creation of control metrics and reports, tracking the performance and trends. The purpose of this position is to collaboratively facilitate the create/update Materials Management Master Data strategy for BOM's, Routers and Work Center definition as well as all MM operating parameters. Successfully implement a plan that results in the delivery of products with structure, organization, and efficiency thus, leading to better on time delivery with lower overall supply chain costs as a % to sales and delivery performance to 95%.
Responsibilities:
Define and facilitate implementation of best practice parameters to achieve the targets for the planning and scheduling of RTI customer orders to meet and exceed delivery requirements and create a standard process to be used for analysis and recommendations for focus.
Incorporate these in current SAP configurations to achieve immediate operational improvement and coordinate standardization of these processes in a cross functional team environment with the owners in the business units..
Ability to operate in a Master Planning role across multiple internal and external integrated supply sources offering operational recommendations to achieve materials requirements.
Receive requirements from the business and create/update current or future master data to align with these best practice processes and transfer knowledge to the key users in the business.
Analyze current system capabilities and future process requirements so that recommendations for input into the planning and scheduling system that will allow consolidating of production demands creating greater efficiency in throughput.
Develop standard metric reports that will allow all site planning & scheduling functions to standardize their policies and procedures using best practice techniques.
Participate in a monthly planning analysis review, adjust system parameters where applicable. Train business unit key users on the method and adjustments of these parameters.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Engineering or MIS.
Greater than 8 years professional experience operating in a similar environment.
Experience in specifications for SAP programs which involve all MM / PP database tables, work centers, routings, BOMs, and capacity constraints for supply chain planning purposes.
Wide experience with SAP R3 MM PP configurations is required.
Broad hands on SAP SUPER USER experience with SAP MM, PP, WM and SD configurations.
Analytical and problem solving skills, SAP end user focus and ability to think cross functionally.
SAP APO Demand planning experience highly desired.
Ability to travel up to 50% and can be located in the Pittsburgh vicinity.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must.
• APICS is an added plus.
Strong ability to lead change, mentor, and develop strong internal relationships.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, and flexible.
