Develop and implement Allocation and/or Replenishment strategies with the A/R Managers, Planners and Merchants. These strategies will determine how to most effectively utilize our inventory to support merchandise plan, advertising and competitive initiatives.
Ensure that new stores open with the correct assortments and appropriate inventory levels as determined by the new store plan.
Challenge Planner and Merchants on item flow based on ladder plans, E3 forecasts and advertising schedule.
Maintain store attribute groups and product restrictions and work with A/R Supervisor and Planners to develop store rankings and assortment levels.
Respond to store issues related to inventory needs and wants. Initiate and execute transfers to balance inventory, fill rain checks and minimize markdowns.
Communicate with stores, merchants and vendors regarding sales trends, new item set ups, shipping performance, new store and promotional purchasing.
Successful Candidate Requirements:
Strong verbal and mathematical skills
Proficient in creating and maintaining spreadsheets using excel
PC Skills (Word, Excel)
Experience:
2+ years retail experience (preferably retail buying, planning or allocating)
