Title: Network Engineer - Technology Consultant II Location: Singapore Other Locations: * Participates as a member of an Information Technology (IT) technical team or teams. * Independently or work with the team for supporting end user or enterprise infrastructure / application. * Independently resolves in-scope technical issues within a given technical area and work with team members to resolve high complex issues. * Partners with members of a given team or other IT teams as appropriate. * May act as an Incident Life Cycle coordinator or service delivery lead to provide resolution for complex issues. * Identifies potential escalations and proactively alerts management, leads escalation through Level 3 * Proactively identify issues and provides solutions or escalate issues to prevent problems from occurring in area of responsibility with the team. * Independently reviews, implements and verifies highly complex and high risk changes and solutions. * Ensures configuration management database entries are complete and accurate. * Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks. * Ensure incidents are followed up with timely updates to customer in accordance to service levels requirement. * Independently implement changes/solutions to meet customer network infrastructure needs within area of technical responsibility. * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or related field with 2-4 years working experience. * Possess CCNA. CCNP certification is preferred. * Strong experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and server / web related applications). * Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN networks. * Knowledge of Quality of Service, IPSec, Multicast and load balancing techniques are also essential * Experience in managing * Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches & Alcatel Switches * Juniper Firewall, McAfee Firewall & ASA Firewall * Good working attitude and be willing to learn new technologies. * Ability to manage critical issues independently and able to present solutions / root cause to Upper Management & Client * Ability to identify problems and issues (technical, process, people) encountered and highlight to team leads and managers. * Must be fluent in the English language at an acceptable level with proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills. * Must be a Service and Customer oriented team player. Flexible, self motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization. * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision if necessary. * Travel to customer sites within Singapore is required. * Must be able to work on occasional weekend, perform off-hours tasks and be on standby. * Singaporean and Singapore PR preferred.
