Senior Space Planner (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
As our Company's Sporting Goods continues to grow, so does the role and function of the Visual Space and Floor Planning teams. We are looking for 3 Senior level Space Planners to support a new Space and Floor Planning initiative. The Sr. Space Planner translates the Buyer's strategic vision into cluster or store specific planograms that meet sales and productivity goals, as well as support our Company's Corporate Brand. They are responsible for evaluating space productivity within each Planogram to improve sales and productivity. The Senior Planner will need to provide leadership direction to the Space Analysts, ensuring all strategies are executed to a high degree of accuracy, and that issues are resolved in a timely manner for assigned areas of responsibility.
Utilize Buyers initial assortment plans to create planograms that are cluster or store specific as well as Game plans that align with corporate strategy, planograms, prototype flows and marketing. Produce written directives instructing the field organization on efficient in-store implementation of game plans and planograms. Responsible to collaborate with the Allocation Team once planograms are complete to ensure proper store inventories
Analyze and monitor quality results of space and merchandise plans. Collaborate with Sr Floor Planners on all store/planogram assignments prior to publication to ensure all plans are accurate and executable at store level. Supervise Space Planning Analysts. Meet with direct reports on a regular basis providing guidance and support to manage workload and timelines for assigned categories
Analyze SKU productivity on planograms for assigned categories and provide recommendations to the Merchants that identify potential opportunities to improve productivity of space. Recognize and react to gaps in the assortment when completing planograms. Assist in solving store specific planogram and merchandising issues within established time frames
Develop, Coordinate and Facilitate training programs on Visual Merchandising Standards for the Field Operations Team
Support floor and visual teams to ensure that merchandise and space plans are complete and accurate for new stores, remodels and prototype resets. Manage the completion of Special Projects as assigned by supervisor (special store projects, new store reviews, strategy expansions, and department resets, etc)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Business, Management, Merchandising, or Marketing
Experience:
5-7 years
Space planning, store design, field retail, merchandising, buying, inventory management, or related role
