Banquet Manager
The Banquet Manager is responsible for effectively selling and negotiating event space, food and beverage, and function planning services of the venue to maximize revenues and profits for the venue. The manager is also responsible for establishing new accounts, generating revenues, monitoring booking space and booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high standards. Creates BEOs (banquet event order) and bills clients for all booked events. Ensures the accurate and timely distribution of event information via event order contracts enabling operations execution of events to the customer's satisfaction. Ensures event changes are communicated in a timely manner and to all affected departments. Supervises the execution of all catering events as needed to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Pro-actively solicits business via telemarketing, site visits, e-mail blitzes, exhibitor services marketing programs, networking at industry events, outside sales solicitation (where permitted by client policy). Documents the outcome and follow up strategies for each solicitation to gain new/additional business.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will also be a problem-solver, self-starter, and resourceful individual that is able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, and hands on environment. Must have a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule including nights and weekends.
Strong organization skills and highly attentive to details.
Takes initiative and is highly responsive. Must be detailed oriented and customer service driven.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, able to work independently or with a team.
Previous Sales experience and demonstrated sales success for catered events and weddings is required.
Previous country club experience, a plus
Must have strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
